HELP-need ECU for s13 Blacktop

I need HELP. I bought an ECU from someone and it was the wrong one.I need an ECU for a s13 Blacktop ASAP.

I have been told that one for a Redtop will work.I think the numbers are the E5 or 62.Can someone verify this.

Yes I have put this in the "WTB" section. But, I needed a fast response.

well if its a chuki blacktop you need a E5 ecu and if its a type x black top you need a J4 ecu

I think chuki 180sx and S13 SR20DETs use #62 (5spd) or #63(4AT) ECUs, and Type X S13 SR20DETs use J4 ECUs.

Well I have the Chuki or s13b blacktop motor. I have heard they use both the #62 and the #E5. no confirmations. I am not sure what the type X is.

I also have the 5-speed not the AT.

I just did some quick research for you, and you are correct. E5 and #62 are blacktop and redtop respectively, but are indeed interchangeable. I'm actually using a #62 ECU on my blacktop SR right now, and it runs fabulously. There's a couple for sale on eBay.

Also the E5 and 62 are interchangable except the O2 sensor plug has to be modded for the convertion since one use self grounding and the other use an independent ground.
