HELP! my wiring is screwed

OK so i picked up a 93 240sx a few days ago from a used car dealer. the car is wired for an amp/subwoofer (guy did a piss poor job) but those components are long gone leaving only the wires. so i picked up some new speakers and hooked them into the stock wiring. next i tried to hook the stock speaker wires up to the aftermarket cd player(the guy cut the wiring harness back there), i got nothing...so i tried a few different wires (dumb i know )and still nothing. now the clock and seatbelts do not work until the car is turned all the way onwhat did i do ??? : BTW the car has factory speaker amps and the speakers work when wired sepratly
