Like I said, my taillight/insturment cluster/corner light fuse keeps popping. It is the 15a fuse, third from the bottom on the right side of the driver kick panel. I recently wired new 4"x6" speakers in the front and believe this may have something to do with the problem (this all started the same day I wired them). I have heard the orange wire on the radio harness is for the illumination circuit, and I've checked and tampered with this but still no luck. Also I have an alarm installed with a circuit to make the taillights and corner lights flicker when arming and disarming, and the fuse on the alarm is also blowing. I really wanted to avoid finding the amperage and putting in a resistor, Id much rather find the problem and fix it right.... Any suggestions?!?!?

Well if it happened when you did speakers id say a speaker is wired wrong. On my car it did the same thing but it was my brake switch starting to short. Replaced it and was fine after that.

What's the conditions of the fuse popping? Is it just simply turning the car on, or does it require turning on the lamps? I had a reverse lamp fuse pop on me a while back and I thought it was a faulty reverse lamp switch on the trans. Turned out to be a worn wire in the harness by the scissor jack. I fixed the exposed wire and didn't have a problem after that.

the wire you should check is the green w/ red stripe (connected to that 15a fuse) which connects to your combination switch harness. power passes through to red w/ blue stripe when light switch is at 1st and 2nd position. which then powers your front and side marker lights and illumination.

i had this same issue...found my blinker / marker light harness was rubbed throu to the bumper support bar cousing it to short out and pop that fuse...its common to pinch that wire if you remove the bumper and not push the harness back into its hole..just another place to look bro..good luck
