Hi everybody, can someone help me locate a hose that holds antifreeze located around under the intake plenum or intake manifold, i think the hose is not really tight, cause when i look under the car while it is runing it leaks drops of antifreeze and sometimes it running it overheats with lots of antifreeze vapor from intake plenum and under the car on passenger side then i have to fill up the radiator with antifreeze again for it not to overheat for another 2-3 days, and is getting annoying......

well the lower radiator hose comes out of the block right there kinda by the throttle body, should be in plain sight like the pic above, if the hose is loose then tighten it. thats what id do anyway.

Whatever you do...don't screw around with the car overheating. Find the problem and fix it! This could turn into something serious. Trust me, I know.

buddy of mine was having problems with that pipe blowing and he found out his water pump went out.

I agree with above. don'e risk overheating your motor... you might warp your head.

i just got my sr20det this past weekend, so im not too familiar with it yet, but i do have a fwd sr20de that was doing exactly as u described.

there is a rubber hose that goes right in the middle of the plenum and it was a pita to replace it. basically the hose had a hole in it.

hope that helps you out.

I recently fixed a coolent leak in the same spot (hes not talking about the radiator hose guys). You are going to have to remove the upper intake manifold to get to it. Mine ended up being a loose hose clamp. Expect it to take about 2 hours if its your first time.

Mine seems to have a leak in hte same location. But I can't really tell if it's coolant leaking out or it's something else. My coolant level does not seem to go down. It seems to have plenty of washer fluid, oil is fine (it's not oil leaking). It's some type of water, either coolant or washer fluid. But I can't seem to find where the exact leak is. I havent' noticed the coolant level drop at all so it's gotta be the washer fluid? or maybe it has not leaked enough. (Havent' actually started the car just looked at the radiator).

Mine only leaked AFTER the engine had been totally warmed up and then taken on some wide-open throttle runs. On that note, its not good to have a cooling system that cant hold pressure.

Sorry Guys kinda tied up at werk, anyhows thanx for all your advices, the situation is kinda like what J Spec is talkin about after u start the car maybe after u reach a destination, and check it,.. it leaks, so basically i have to take off the plenum cause it is kinda located inbetween and when it steamed before it sort of came from bottom passenger side (underneath car) and also under the plenum kinda hard to locate too...., that vapor stinks alot tho. Now the hard part is going to take out the plenum need some advises on that lol Thanks a mIllion..~!!

completely take the intake manifold off. it'll take just as much time messing around with all the stuff in the way. it's quite simple after you disconnect all the intake pipings and fuel lines.
