i swamped a sr20det red top into my 1990 240sx and the little pipe going into the exhaust manifold hits my steering column when its in place is that a problem everyone encounters doing a swamp. ive moved the motor mounts as high as posibble and it still hits, also if u look at the engine u can see that its lower to the left side instead of being sitting flat, looked into some pics of other swamps and couldnt tell if it was or not. well please help because that damn exhaust manifold is killing me.

yes just plug it up or get an aftermarket turbo elbow for like 50 bucks from ebay, they dont even have the fitting for the pipe. the SR motor does sit at an angle, meaning the valve cover is not perfectly pointing up straight.

I had the same problem with my swap. I had a JDM turbo elbow/dump pipe & it hit the steering as well. It was divorced dump style. I purchased the Megan racing non-divorced style dump pipe. It works perfect! The motor mounts are in the stock location the motor is at factory level, everything fits perfect. Here is the link to megan racing. Good luck. http://www.meganracing.com/pro...65nes up great!

when getting parts, ask for them for a 1991 nissan sentra se-r 2.0L engine.Get an OEM oil filter from nissan the part number is 53J00.
