you tried all the basic stuff right?

im assuming so cause you started jumping right to hard wiring things.

id first guess maybe a fuse since it was running. loose wire... something

check your relays too

and im just gonna say it just incase, is the battery ok?

Just bc the battery reads OK under no load doesnt mean it is actually still good. You can try jumpstarting it without the battery hooked up. Or get someone to get a multimeter and check the voltage on the battery as you try to crank it. Ive had a battery that was only slightly low that kept my RB from starting.

Get a friend or two, push the car and when it gets moving, hop in and throw it in first with the clutch depressed, and turn the key and gas it at the same time, pop the clutch, and if you've got enough speed it'll turn over and start right up. Then you can get it home for further analysis.

need to put back all the wiring to it's direct points that u had before. Probably had nothing wrong. Check the ignition circuit by turning the key off and probing the ign relay. The relay has only one gate soo u will have 2 spots that have constant 12vdc and then the 3 will have it when the ign switch goes to the on position and the gate will close.

start with that and check all the red stripe/black body wires. After that u should find that your recieving 12vdc from the battery to a ground that is making the wiring really really hot and surprising u haven't had a damn fire yet! be carefull and get a professional to help u shoot all the damn 12vdc ignition circuit!

U CAN CATCH FIRE AT ANY POINT NOW! not a good thing

something changed. New gauge or loose faulty connection. Your taking the right action. I would start with the ignition source. Ign relay, turbo timer, and ignition fuse. You'll find a ground somewhere on that line. Should only see 12vdc.
