did you bleed the clutch slave cylinder, the clutch may be rubbing against the flywheel

remove the starter and peek inside the bell housing inspecting the flywheel teeth and also examine the starter gears, make sure everything is messing correctly.

That sounds just like every other hypersingle or multiplate clutch I have ever heard on startup or with the clutch pushed in.

multi disc clutches make noise. thats normal. my friend has a multi disc tilton, sounds like a spun bearing.

Does it sound like grinding? or like it could be normal? I have a twin plate and it doesnt do that. It sounds like the starter might not be on right and "meshing" correctly like others mentioned.

What brand is your mulitplate? Some are louder than others. My friends HyperSingle sounds like his TO bearing is about to shoot out of his car.

It is an OS Giken, I bought it used. It does have a "jingle" when the clutch is pushed in (disengaged). But it starts smoothly.

That sounds like when you turn the key with the engine already running.
