Hello, welcome to NICOclub.

I was going to suggest you check your switch on the steering column, but the mouse chewing throws me off balance there. You might be best positioned to get in there and start probing things.
Do your fog lights still come on as expected?

To help you on your journey, i'd look up the electrical schematics of the car, the lighting section especially in the factory service manual. The link is in my signature below.

mac , I believe 95 Q's have a similar headlamp relay , boxed and usually firewall mtd. & towards drvr's side ,is whereas in my J30 .Now it's a strange animal ,because inside it's comprised of 4 or even 6 separate relays where each Low beam ( R & L) and each Hi beam (R & L) are individually swiched and including "the grouping" of Hi with the Lo . And theres so many wires connecting that rat may broken , in addition to the notoriously faulty "Relay-Box" . First locate it & check wiring for damage ,then tap the "Box" and see if you trigger an intermittant turn-on action? Many simply need replacing . :yesnod
Sometimes unplugging electrical conn.'s and applying quality el. cleaner/lube/protectant combo such as "De-Oxit"on male & female pins , then insert / de-insert several times kinda "cleans & sets a better connection. Be carefull if you buy like the CRC brand "Electrical Contact Cleaners" , most are really super pure "Brakleen", w/no lube nor any "protectant" qualities for longevity - terminals can / will corrode in salty winter climates ; also that concentrated form must be "tested on a non critical spot" , check for melting of plastic/rubber. :dblthumb: Glen
