HELP! my key got stuck in my ignition......and it won't come out!

I have a infiniti m30 and the key just won't come out....ive tried everything....any advice?

I had the same problem. My key stem broke off in the ignition the other day. I couldn't turn the key to either the ON or ACC position, when I tried to pull the key out of the ignition the fob came off the stem or metal keyed portion. Fortunately I had a pair of pliers and eventually managed to get the ignition to turn on and was then able to turn the ignition off after I got to my destination and was able to get the key out of the ignition. I restarted the car with the other key and no harm seems to have occurred to the ignition but now I don't have a spare key. It appears as though the set screw fell out of the key stem; more quality from Nissan. Wonder if they're hiring some of the laid off UAW workers.
