k well i had a big boost leak and i didnt know it was a boost leak till later because i thought my car was just acting up. but i fixed the boost leak and now it is worse then ever. im not too sure if i blown my engine or something because it idles really rough and it bogs and sputters constantly. even at like 1,000 rpm. and i pulled the pugs and checked to see if they were sparking and they all were but it was super black and i cleaned them with gas and gaped them to .8 and my maf is good because i used 2 of my friends mafs. but im not to sure on the TPS or the CAS because i never checked that yet. and i unpluged my 02 sensor so it should give the engine a .50 reading right? and when i checked the diagnosis on the ecu right after it was giving a code 21 and a code 43 so my ignition is bad? and my TPS is bad??? because after i started it a couple times it was giving a code 55 a okay???? but i need this to get to work and i work in town..............agggghhhh! HELP PLEASE

For starters, I don't know if you realize this, but you posted this all before most of us are up and online, so no real need to bump already.

Sounds like you have a fueling issue. Reset the ECU and then try to pull codes. If your TPS is bad, then it will do very strange things. OR if your ignitor is blown, then it will also do bad things. Start with those and go from there.

Do you have an FSM?

I agree with rico.........

going to make a few assumptions though.

being that you "tested" the maf on someone elses car. does that mean you are running a KA-E maf? I know it is a decent drive for me to find another person with a RUNNING CA.....

I would def be putting an 02 sensor in.... they are there for a reason and can help diagnose things.

stop being cheap and go buy a set of plugs. 10 bucks is def worth the time you are spending trying to hunt down something so simple.

Use your FSM to diagnose a good ignitor and TPS......

i dont get my ca18 at all i disconnected the battery and then i started it up then i wasnt as rough compared to yesterday. so i rewired the maf extension part better and rewired the injector resistor better then i drove it around the block and it did the usual cold running ca18 bog then i got it to operating temp and it drove fine..... but it makes a popping noise from the exhaust once n a while like a "tockh" noise. like its idling good then "tockh" my mom was like what is that noise?? lol my friend only drives sr's and he said its normal. but is it a misfire or something?

if the car is running rich it will misfire, mine does it a lot because i havent had it tuned... if you have a fuel pressure gauge make sure the pressure is right and if you arent running a 255 lph fuel pump you might want to think about that and the nismo fuel pressure regulator, and an fsm is a factory service manual....

Thought the plug gap was supposed to be 1.1mm, as it says in the FAQ section.

1.1mm as listed in the FSM. You always want to run as much spark gap as possible with out having it blown out.
