when i bought the car it had 3,000$ in replacement parts from a over heating. it had an engine light on and he wanted to sell it fast for 2,500$. i picked it up broguth it to a garage i know did a diagnostic check and it was a vac problem. found it almost instantly one of the lines was split. fixed that light hasnt come on again since. lastly ive been havign idle and slight hesitation problems. i changed the plugs and wires, and the fuel filter from stock to 300sx filter. and right befor i changed the filter the car was having worse hesitation but the idle was fine. now its both again after the filter change. it feels like its either getting tooo much gas and not enought air, too much air not enough gas,or a timing problem. if anyone has any answers help please. btw im scared because i had a rx-7 that did the same thing and its been 6 months and still hasnt been fixed thats why i bough tthis . the 240 will run idle ok most of the time sometimes i get like surges and it dumps the needle to about 500, then back up a couple times i tap the gas and it goes away. the hesitaiton seems to only happen when i give it gas to go uphill or soemhtign or to get up to speed. any sugestions willhelp thanks

sounds like you should check you plugs, wire and rotor, the easy and cheap **** first. check the 02 sensor.
