Hi. I own a 94 q45 and in the mornings when start it up its fine and runs nice. but when the car warms up i can feel the car shake and loose power. Basically when car is cold, it runs fine and fast. when car warms up/ hot day, the car jsut boggles out and feels liek its running on a 4 cylinder.

I also noticed when its cold, the gas peddle is much stiffer but when car warms up or a hot day... the gas peddle is soft and no matter how much gas i throw in, its slow as hell.

Anyone know the cause of this? Is this a common problem? I know im not giving much info. This ive done is do frequent oil changes, fuel filter changed

THanks Andrew.

No, of course not. "Hot" in Ontario in November makes one wonder.

Go post in IOM and detail all the recent maintenance, the engine's condition, type of fuel, etc. Include transmission, intake, fuel system, and coolant maintenance data.

Welcome to NICO!

First thing I would do is check your MAF. Have you checked your fuel pump? Do you have a buzzing sound coming from the back seat of the car?

Those are the first 2 things id check, check the fuel pump first

He thanks for the welcome! Im not sur what a MAF is but as for the fuel pump. I do hear a buzzing sound from the back when i turn my key but i thought that is like normal. If there a way to check the fuel pump yourself instead of bringing it to the infiniti dealer?

THanks for all the help.

Sure, read the threads about how to T it off after the filter and check the pressure at idle and WOT.

For the more elctronically sophisticated, Q45tech has mentioned observing the wave forms on a scope to see a bad armature.

Yeah check your pressure. Q45.org is a great place to start for this stuff
