sorry for your lose man.

none of my cars ever got stolen because i wire in a hidden switch for the fuel pump off the fuse box and switch it off at night. one of my cars was broken into and the stereo stolen but the car remained mine. i think everyone shoud do this as its very simple and very preventitive. u could also wire in a push button ignition hidden somewhere too.

yeah that is a good idea. It seemes there is a habit for people to start steling 240s out there. I do a similer thing but i just take out the fuse to the fuel pump pain but rather have the car then no car

Having my baby stolen would hurt too much to think about. I live in GettoBernardino, so I:-Park my 89 240sx Fastback behind a extra heavy security garage door with an auto-lock mechanism on my very expensive garage door opener.-Set my very high end security alarm built into the car-Attach a club to the steering wheel-Have motion detection lights inside the garage with night vision security cameras (hidden) monitoring and recording the car all night

Call me paranoid, but I live in a moderately shady neighborhood where on a good day only one car on my street is broken into or stolen.

my neighbor accross the street has a honda thats been hit 3 times, my neighbor next to him has an Acura that was being pushed down the street by a guy while the alarm was going off at 3am (he kicked his *** though). Then my next door neighbor had her toyota stolen. This was all just last month.

S13240, I agree with these guys, I'm sorry you lost your car... if it was up to me, I would send every theif into the land of the shadow of death. It's a bit late to regret you didn't put any preventitive measures in so just hope you get it back soon and not stripped to hell. Hopefully S13 owners are not like that and who ever stole your car just wanted a joy ride in a car that is easily broken into. Trust me, our S13's are super easy to break into. Good Luck!

Coincidentally, yesterday I was just looking up alarm systems for my car...just couldn't figure out which one I wanted. But thanks guys, I hope it's just joyriders also but I have a gut feeling my car is totally stripped to hell by now...one of the cleanest interiors too.

This one is going up to the top. Bump for more visability.

Sorry to hear of the theft. Get an autolock. It's a more effective deterrent than an alarm that gets ignored and a club that can get pulled off with a hacksaw to the steering wheel. Might want to consider getting a detachable steering wheel, and car cover to go with an alarm and an autolock...not that I've gone to those measures...lol

sorry to hear about the theft, i will try to keep an eye out around here.

my neighbors cars have been broken into more then once since they park in the street. so i always keep my car in between my moms envoy with on star and my dads ford with my brothers 350z with lo jack. parked behind me. so no one is going to be able to steal my car.

Yikes. I suspect this will only get worse with fnf3 coming out soon with its feature of drifting.

Steering wheel clubs do nothing at all. the steering wheel is very light gauge aluminum wrapped in rubber. It is designed to collapse. Any thief will look at that and laugh.

the point is, he looks at it. One more reason not to bother with it and move on to the next car.

Still no updates yet, car is possibly stripped to hell now or chopped up into itty bitty bits by now. I guess time to look for an s12.

Sorry to hear of your loss man. I hope you had insurance of some kind. I guess you would be the first victim of the FAST AND FURIOUS 3 epidemic!

That sucks man. The club is just a false sense of security though. The steering wheel can easily be cut with a hack-saw, or reciprocating saw, right next to the club at the top of the wheel. The wheel can then be bent slightly at the top, allowing the club to be removed easily. If someone wants to steal your car that badly, the club will not stop them. Well I guess in broad daylight, in a busy area it might deter someone, but the latter is a much better idea.

I agree with installing a "kill switch" for your fuel pump, and for your battery under your hood if you're really worried. One of my buddies wired a fuel pump switch on his civic. He used a power mirror switch for it, to keep an oem look, and to not make it obvious by reaching under the dash or another hidden spot. He has no power mirrors in his hatchback, but nobody has ever noticed.

My switch location in my S14 is a secret....................................sorry. WTF, where did the bonghit icon go?
