HELP!!! my 240 leaks radiator fluid....

hey guys i have a question, my car is leaking radiator fluid right now. I noticed my car was starting to heat up a little so a pulled over to check under the car and hood, and saw that i was leaking fluid around my water pump

filled her back up with 50/50 and temp went down

it seems to only leak when i turn the A/C on, other wise everything is fine

can this be a dead water pump?? or can there be more to it?

why does it leak when i turn the A/C on....

engine is a sohc KA with 190k miles

look up water pump in tutorials in my signature. maybe water pump works harder when a/c on. pay attention to weep hole on bottom of pump

i read it but its seems like its for 91's and up

so u think i should just replace it?

If you are leaking coolant from around the housing where the gasket seals the pump to the front housing, it may just need to be taken off and re-sealed. But in doing that with an engine with 190,000 miles you might as well just replaced the water pump since you will have to take it off any way. If it's leaking from the pump and it is negatively affecting your running temperature then I would recommend that you replace it.
