So, my darling 2 year old girl decided that the CD changer was a piggy bank. AGAIN!!!! I know, poor parenting...

Everything works, display shows CDs are playing, just no sound. I pulled it apart and dumped out all the change, still no sound. Guessing that the circuits are fried. Nav voice works fine, so I'm fairly certain it is the radio.

The first time, the dealership managed to fanagle me a new radio. This time, no dice. They want between 1200-1500$. PUKE!!

I located a 2006-7 Bose, 6 disc from a salvage yard. Am fairly confident that I can replace myself, since I pulled the last one out and replaced it. Anything tricky I should know about? Anyone think it's not a radio issue?

Welcome to the Murano Forum, glad to have you as a new member of NICOclub.

Probaby is the radio. There are no tricks to replacing it. Pull out old one, disconnect the harnesses and antenna, and reconnect to the new one. Good luck with the replacement!

Wow. The same thing happened to me this Thanksgiving. I just posted about it. Did you ever replace your system?

I wish I had been able to take mine out and dump the change before I fried the whole thing.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but who allows a 2 year old to play near their car dashboard unsupervised?
