HELP motor wont rev pass 2k rpms ?

i got 98 kade swapped into my 95 zenki about 10 months ago it will do this problem sumtimes but now its jus wont pass 2k rps. i got a couple clues wut it might be but i dont wanna start replacing things w.o knowing cause i dont have the money to scan it for codes. i was thinkin it could be the maf,tps, or the coolant temp sensor ? help me out guys its my daily and i need it back asap

Normally that is safe mode and the MAF or MAF wiring is bad.

kk i jus took it out for a drive and it stop doin it but then it came back if my maf is shot wont it jus not wrk ?

If the MAF is bad the car goes into safe mode. When the car is acting this way, crank it then unplug the MAF, if nothing changes it should be either the MAF or its wiring.

O'Reiley's or Harborfrieht have a good cheap scanner you can buy that will help out. I bought one for $89. It will read codes for all cars from 94 upto 2008

I had the same prob when my maf got disconnected. So either that or the MAF(or connector) is bad.
