help!miss up thread on s13sr20det block what to do?

the bolt screw in but i doesnt tightin up. tried a tap a die but still the same. would a rethread kit work event though the hole will get bigger help if u know what to do or this happen 2 u before. thanks

Umm...I know your probably in a hurry for an answer, but with your explaination its hard to tell what your asking of us? In detail, what happened? I have backed out some broken studs before as well as performed hand taping / rethreading. Please do explain so we can help you.

thanks i built this car with my friend. we the did the swap. and i did the bodykit and the whale tail along with the paint. i dont think u can say the the car is really urs if u didnt do all the work yourself. so that way u know every inch of your car.about the problem i was trying to put the bolt back in the block. its the bottom line and i guess i didnt put bolt it in straight and when i was screwing it back in but the bolt wouldnt get tight. it screws goes in but doesnt tighten up so oil squirts out. it has the stock turbo and lines.

You wil need to clean out the hole and retap it, then put a helicoil in

thanks man. have u done this before. would i have to drop the engine or can i do it while its still in the car.
