utilice un 25DET.

I believe the 25DE and DET camshafts are different. I do not know by how much. I will look up the part numbers tonight.

¿Cómo hizo la rotura original?

the cam is broken, as was tightening the bolts of the bracket, in order to tighten, but broke the same, which was not the reason, if you tighten the other the same. 25de the Cam, is the same, but has over 260 ° prolongation,

I see. you were tightening the camshafts like the service manual instructs you to, and the exhaust camshaft broke. (Another user "Darius" and I spoke about this before. The instruction manual is not very clear or just wrong.)

To verify - the 25 DE cam has the same lobe dimensions, but 260* duration?

I have the manual, and follow to the letter the directions, but still broke, but the cam admission, no nothing bad happened. I often disarmed ca18det and I had never spent anything.

Bolts to the bracket? You mean the cam caps? You tighten those a little bit at a time, starting at the center, and working your way outward equally in both ends. (this method is critical so that the shaft doesn't over bend which could result in breakage) The dowel on the cam should be at a 15 degree angle above the horizontal axis (this would be the earths surface as reference, assuming a CCW rotation)

Once you have the cam secured, you install the black cover piece, then the cam gear. Use the nut like part of the cam with a crescent wrench to hold and torque down the cam gear with a ratchet.

if I did that, everything I did good and correct, as I followed the instructions, I knew long ago, in fact all the engines were tightened in the same way, just change the torque/tighten. was not my fault, no one could explain why I was broke, only material fatigue or poor manufacturing. I have many armed engines and I never had happened

pd: This post is aimed at anyone tell me which is similar exhaust cam to install in the rb25det

i'm pretty sure the 26 cams will fit, but it will make the car run like crap. better to just find the correct 25 cam.
