This document may be helpful for your project, be careful remote start can be dangerous on a manual transmission. Make sure to install safety devices. Pulling up the e-brake will not stop a car from moving when started in gear.
Ha ha ha yes, remote start on a standard transmission...I've a funny story about that. While my engine was getting changed out, my buddy in his MR2 hit the remote start on his car but left it in gear. His car went through the garage door, hit a small Yamaha scooter which buffered the impact on my car as it was mostly plastic. Moral of the story, be very careful with remote start on a standard. Although it didn't stop him later on when he put it on his Legacy.
