Ok, so i have a garrett gt2560R and was planning on using that turbo on my redtop s13 [stock motor] to get to 300hp, I've ben ordering parts to support that build, i now have: Tomei exhaust manifold, Isis 300zx MAF, Nismo motor & transmission mounts, waiting for my Ecu from Nistune, getting ready to buy Injectors, a wideband, and a fuel pressure reg...... and then i started thinking.. why try to go for 300hp maxing out the 2560 which i might not even achieve with that turbo [?], so I'm pretty much set on going 2871R, I'm aiming for around 375hp, so i believe for that to be achieved i need: rocker arm stoppers, arp studs, head gasket, JWT S[?] Cams, springs, retainers. and 650cc injectors? What else will i need? Will aftermarket internals be necessary? thanks.. just trying to figure out how long of a drop I'm going to be falling into this money pit lol :rotfl

What you should buy

Headgasket of your choice
ARP Headstuds
740cc injectors
JWT S3 Cams
RAS are a good idea
Springs and retainers arent necessary for the s3 cams, but you can if you want (reference JWT website if you want to read what they have to say about it.)

You don´t need cams, but it isn´t a bad buy. :) Here, the car from my buddy:

^Thats a GT2871.86

I own and would recomend the GT2871.64, its will be much more responsive and still put out plenty of power

The .86 has a higher power rating, but it will have more top end than mid range.

I can hit 20psi on my turbo around 3650-3750rpm

and heres another video for you

Good numbers! :bigthumb: The .64 response faster, thats right, but it eats your stock gearbox like hell. :)

.......that doesn't sound so good lol... how has your transmission been holding up since u put the 2871 in? [anyone with a 2871 can answer]

And i was told i dnt need a head gasket or head studs for around 375 hp w/ a 2871 .64..... thats false rite?

It is a hit and miss. It depends how long your engine has been sitting in teh junkyard in Japan, Canada, etc. For insurance purposes get head studs and a metal gasket. :)

Gotcha.. Also im guessing JWT S3 is more ideal then S4, as far as lower rpm powerband? Also even if i get S3 should i get springs and retainers just to be safe?

My gearbox is fine....

and you can buy springs/retainers if you want to.

Im not going to buy them if that helps.. all the questions you have asked have been answered in the link i posted. You really should spend some time reading through it.
