Hey. I have a 91 JDM Silvia Q's with a sr20det in it. I bought the car used and it has a Blitz FATT in it. Most likely from japan and is probably and older one, but looks farely new. It is a silver box half din size and mounted on the steering column. has power, min, and sec. button on it.

My question is this.. It currently turns on when I start the car or turn the key. But after turning the key off the motor shuts off too, even after I have set the FATT. But i don't know how to set it either.

There are 2 sets of wires that come out of the back of the unit. A big set which is all connected and seems to be working fine. But the smaller set was disconnedt. It has 3 wires, purple, orange and white. I know that the purple is for ground because it was grounded to a screw. But i don't know what the white and orange ones do. does anyone know. and how to operate it. I'm guessing most blitz tt are similar for wiring.

thanks all..

the purple wire is for your ebrake.

I don't feel like dropping my dash to figure out what wires go where, but try that first.

EDIT: The timer is using the harness right? It's about 3 inches long, and has a 2x3 plug on either side? If you're not using the harness, you can have any number of wiring problems.

yeah. the timer is using the harness and that is all hooked up properly. I don't think the purple goes to the ebrake though. cuz it was used as a ground to a screw under the dash. and it had a round metal fitting for a ground connection. the orange wire however was not hooked up and neither was the white one.

so i'm just having problems with the smaller harness. has just three wires. the other bigger harnes is hooked into the car and appears to be working fine. it must control the power and ground and int lights etc.

Dude. I have the same timer. I'm telling you the purple one goes to the ebrake. I don't know about the white or orange, but there should be two black wires. Those are the grounding wires.

Ugh, let me go try finding my wiring diagram.

The control module should have 3 "wires" coming out of it. One is the main wiring harness. Should be 5 wires, and the grounds One harness goes out to the display module. The last is the purple wire which goes to the hand brake.

Quote »Important-the parking brake wire must have signal at all times. If purple wire is not installed correctly, the turbo timer will automatically shut off when the key is taken out.[/quote]

HMMM ok.. looks good so far. You might have a different TT though. I have 2 sets of wire that come out the back of the timer. one set has the 12vconstant, 12vign, ground, and excessory.

the other set has 3 wires. the purple=hand brake and then the orange wire and white wire. maybe those aren't used. i don't know

thanks man

I've been wandering the same thing, can someone tell me where the easiest way to locate it is?
