Ok so i am really familiar with the KA24DE engines and would say that i would be confident enough to rebuild the engine again without dropping a sweat. Seeing as i have rebuilt a KA24DE engine in the past and learned a lot from it, i am going to take my skills and challange myself even further. I would say that i am mechanically inclined but i was never taught that much by an instructor with everything i have learned. So bisically i am here to ask you guys what things and how much it will cost me after everything is done.

Here is my car1993 S13 Hatchback with no rust90k Miles KA24DEAutomatic Completely stock as if i had just bought it from a Nissan Dealership in 1993. Only things put into the car is a CD player, Sub, and Amp.

I am looking to use it as my daily car and sometimes track car but mainly for my daily.

The engine runs good, nothing wrong with it.. i have money to spend and dont want to spend it on anything else but power. Many would tell me that i should get coilovers, brakes, etc first but i like i said i am not looking to use it as a track car.

As of right now, do i have any obsticles that i need to worry about like..will my Automatic transmission interfear with my turbo? will i need a 5 speed in order to have a KA24DET?

anyways it would be awesome if you guys could give me as much info as possible and i will try and post pictures of my car later depending on how much people bother to help.

Thanks in advance!

Buy my kit for sale or one similiar. What is your budget and goal? You wanting to keep auto or switch to 5spd? My advice is turbo this stock pristine engine at 8psi. Once your ready to upgrade to big power an dhave 5spd get a 2nd block to build up all 5spd parts then pull everything out of your car and put new parts in I turboed mine at 174k and it was fine till I messed up....Best to get for fuel is going to be a fuelpump$100 370injectors$100 and a safc II $150 then go to dyno and tune.

before you modify the engine you should check to see if its still running strong. Check compression and stuff. I just rebuilt my ka so i could turbo it. Im still under my 500 mile break-in period but she runs nice so far. All i bought was new rings, and factory gasket kit. I did hone the cylinders and anally check everything to make sure it was still within factory specs on the better side.
