The girl wants a corset, but I am teh idiot when it comes to things like this. Anybody in NICOland have suggestions?

Prom... I skipped mine but ended up going with this senior I was dating a year after I was out of HS. I ditched my date for a while to hang out with my old teachers and such. Waste of time and money.
Make her buy her own corset (whatever that is?). Ask her to pay for your tux rental too. Prom is a scheme created by women to teach young men how to blow their cash on foofey crap.
Im gonna go put a coat of wax on the Q now.

Does she want you to buy her a corset? or is she just telling you she wants one and finding out your opinion?
If she wants you to buy her one, unless you're in a serious relationship I'd tell her to buy her own under garments.
Now! If you're in a serious relationship...then I'd go for whatever turns you on because in essence that's why we women buy those type of garments. Trust me it's not because they are comfortable to wear!

i hope this works but here is a site that has a whole bunch to chose from...if you need more i know of other places too...it all depends on when you need it by... you can get new one from victorias secret off ebay and for cheap money (over stock!!!)

Victoria Secrets is expensive place to buy anything but they do have nice stuff if your willing to pay good price. Other good stores to check on things like that might be JC Pennys, Sears, or any store like that.
Its nice to hear guys wanting to buy undergarments for the ones they are with. You have to becareful on the sizes though if she's not with you to pick it out.
