Ok I'm embarassed to ask, but I want to know if anyone here is in or around Boston, MA. The reason I ask is because, well... I've never actually driven (or been in) a silvia before. I really really REALLY would appreciate it if someone around here could meet up with me sometime and show off their car/show me what it can do... etc. I'm looking for someone with an s14, cause thats what Id like to build- but an s13 would be cool too. Comeon guys, it'll be fun. Ill buy you some pizza or something, you can show off your car... give a guy a taste of the silvia, huh??

I don't think a lot of people have actually completed the conversion, good luck.

The closest I've ever seen was here in Maine, but it had New Hampshire plates. It was Silver, had no emblems, but a pretty complete s13 to s15 body conversion front and back (I think it was)... but it was still LHD, and I didn't get to see the engine, so I doubt it was an SR20DET!

I actually saw one here on the Boston University campus a couple weeks ago. S14, with the silvia badging and everything. I can only assume it had the SR in it, but I couldnt tell cause it was parked... it was like maroonish red... kinda dirty lookin.

hey if I cant find someone to show off their car-- if you guys are in boston we could still probably chill and TALK about cars right? dreaming is almost as good..... kiiinda.

(nobody here goes to BU, right?)

This is why I said "I think it was".... because I don't know if it was a genuine rear-end... a copy.... a custom body mold... or even if it looked all that much like the s15 rear. I have one picture of an s15 rear... and it looked a LOT like this car. But I didn't meet the guy to ask him about it.... and it was in a Wal-Mart parking lot, at night, and I was running late for a date... so I didn't stick around to inspect it.... I wish I had!! :D

But it definately had the destinctive rear fenders that have a more defined line up top, and square off more as they reach the back and go around to the trunk.

and it was a little strange, as all of this was still attached to an s13 fastback... so from the windows up, it still looked like a USDM s13. Regardless... it was good body work, and very nice paint. The car looked quite unique.

i live 20 mins south of boston in easton. i actually drive into and through boston all the time to play shows and whatnot. once i get my s14 i'll let you know and we could probably meet up. first thing on my list of mods is a red-top SR20DET swap. it'll take a little while to save up for it...but ooh boy will it be worth it. i'll keep in touch, we can definitely hit the streets of boston some night with it. have you been down newbury street on a saturday night? there are some nice cars there.. :rockon

yeah ive been down there a ton of times-- not on sat nights though... (there are... uhm... better things to do up here in Allston haha). Theres a ton of really rich cars up there... benzes and beamers and stuff... Im not normally that impressed cause hardly anybody who has those cars really knows anything about them besides the fact that they're expensive... thats how newbury street is like anyways....

but yeah man we could def hit the streets--- im in the same boat as you... just looking to find that s14 now.. Ive even got the cash... Just havnt found the right one yet.

dude do you play any shows on commonwealth avenue? ugh I forght the name of the place but theres this joint right across the street from me that always has bands in there playing... damn I forgot what its called... its addy is like 900 something comm ave-- right next to a MacDonalds...

yeah i have all the funds, i am just looking right now. i found one possible one up in lower NH, i gotta go check it out. it's hard to find s14's around here. i've only seen one or two, ever. i'm sure there are more, i'm probably just not that lucky. it's one thing SEEING them..but another seeing them for sale. good luck on your search.

I planned on doing the s13-s14 conversion but I like this one body kit better so I'm just going to do the headlight conversion (300zx style) and a kit.

Well, your first post, you asked if anyone would take you for a ride in their Silvia...... my car is FAR from a Silvia. But, yeah.... I'll take you for a ride. We can cruise the streets of Boston and look for some easy kills!!! I'm just outside of Portland, and I95 gets me to Boston in just over an hour and a half. I'll be down there this fall several times to do some bird hunting on Cape Cod. Maybe we can hang out sometime. It'd be very cool to get a bunch of us owners together for a meet in the Boston area!!!!

yeah man... if you're interested (cause I'm not- haha), there is some dude selling an s14b (1997) with a blown engine down in northern VA. Figure if you're lookin to put the SR in it the engine doesnt really matter... I dont want it though.. he wants $5,000 for it with no engine and its an auto... if you're interested though lemmie know Ill hook ya up with the email.

Cool! When I turned 21, my bro was going to school just outside of Boston, and he lived in Milton. He took to out to a couple clubs in that area. I remember going to Jillians and Momma kins(I think)... hell, you live there.. if there's anywhere better to go, I'm game. Anyway... I'd be down with hittin' Boston again! :evilhaha

Yeah Jillians is a big college bar round here... but as you know there are tons to pick from. Just bring some money and a fresh liver! (we'll do the driving first, OK? hhaha)
