The car for sale is a 1997 240SX SE. It is in very good shape inside and out. It is black on black with an auto transmission. The cars options are p/w, p/roof, p/locks, p/s, p/b, and an aftermarket cd player. It also has tinted windows, kyb struts, eibach springs, rucas, tc rods, hid lights, intake and a megan exhaust system. The car has 230,000 miles but the engine is in great shape with no problems. The transmission was just rebuilt 10,000 mi. ago. and it is the 2nd owner and It has a clean title

3000 at most in my opinion..

Here you go. I even chose more options than it could possibly have, just to up the value. The guy is asking way too much. 230,000 miles is pretty much awaiting failure. (Yes, I know... some cars get lucky and make it 300,000 but let's face it... It's rare as hell.)

Fair $3,655

To many miles, its going to be more of a pain in the a$$ then anything. I would rather have a manual with around 120k miles than that

yea man, think about it, its got almost 240k miles. Which yea we know nissans last, but a few get luky. Its automatic, which its gonna be another 500-600 bucks to convert it. Then ur gonna wanna upgrade the car with some parts here and there, and befor u know it ur spending 4k on parts. Not worth it IMO. buy something with less miles, and if possibly cheaper.

I bought my 96 S14 Zenki auto for $2800, last year. A little rust on shock tower and along the frame rail (fixed), 134,000 miles, ugly body kit from previous owner but the paint matches, he wax the entire car, no paint chip anywhere, suspension feels solid. Its a pretty good condition car, and I still overpaid by $300 - $400 due to drift tax.

With 230,000 miles, its a beat up car, use that to your advandtage and haggle with him.

OP, that's a little steep. Find something with lower miles and manual transmission. Just don't get impatient. I looked for 3 months and drove 5 hours from N. Dallas to Houston to get my 240.

What in the hel are you all talking about?? Whats the problem with all the miles? If the motor dies, get a new one. Then you can swap to 5 speed. You can replace bushings for 125 for the master set. And new coils are 1000. So you can have a fun a** car for not too much. And Try and find a clean kouki for sale that cheap, Not too often. TRust me I know....I say buy it, but use the miles and that you have to swap the bushings ans all that as leverage. To get a price around 3500-4250

the problem isn't really the miles, the problem is he wants 5 grand for it. you could find one with less miles and a better body for less than 5 grand. and why pay 5 grand for something when ur going to have to redo suspension and new motor and all that will be like another 3 4 grand if you do it rite. just doesn't seem worth it IMO

I actually thing thats a reasonable price... But down here koukis go for a lot. I bought my 98 (stock and auto) se for 5300 (dec '08). and I drove up to GA when I bought my super clean stock manual 97 se for 6800 (feb '08). Theyve obviously been going down in price and koukis are always going for more than theyre "worth" just because there are so few of them and they are disappearing quickly. (heck, 2 1997s were traded in during the cash for clunkers)

so, I say get it. Maybe offer like 4500-4800. but I think its worth it.

Dude its a kouki...remember that, and the body looks pretty damn clean from the pics.

If the engine blows, drop in another and swap in a 5-speed while your at it. I paid $6k for my 95' zenki auto sure it was almost brand new condition wise but I still spent money on it as will you lol

kouki or not, it's still a high mileage s14. I'd only pay slightly more for a kouki than zenki with that kind of mileage. Which means a couple grand max.

You should only talk if you have a kouki....Drive one, then say no to 5 grand....Its hard.....I would punch a baby to get another. Then to find a black one, in good shape. Mark mt words, you will regret it in a couple years.
