What I like about the 5 spoke ones is they are only 21lbs per wheel and will show my slotted rotors and painted caliper nicely.

But I also really like the hypersilver finish and design of the other set.

What do you guys think?

Car is in the sig.

If it were me, I would definitely go with the first set - it looks much better on the M, especially the color of car you have.

What is the size of those wheels?

Both are 18s.

I thought about 19s but I want to keep 100% the stock balance and performance of the car.

Plus I bought these expensive a** 18" Bridgestone tires brand new only about a month ago.

I am partial to the first set as well.

Anyone know the weight of those stock 18" rims on a 35x? They're like 8 spoke or something.

Well, make sure you are OK with 18" - since the rims are more expensive than the tires. It sucks to sell like new tires for a loss, but it would be much better than buying another set of rims regretting getting a set "small" in size - that will end up costing you more. Done that before and I know how it feels.

But, either way, good luck!

21 lbs. is a good weight for 18"x9" if they are strong enough.

18"x9" OZ Racing Ultraleggera are about 20.5 lbs.

I don't know what you mean. I'm not into lots of chrome, I'm not into 20", and I'm not into spirals and other weird designs. I like simple 5 spoke.

Where would you look for wheels for an M35?

neither!!!! in my opinion, these cars dont look very good with cheap aftermarket wheels. i say save up around 4k and get some deep dish VIP wheels like what "batmobile" has done. i say do it right the first time. these cars deserve alot of attention; i say if your going to do rims, get some good ones. here is a link for some ideas. i know ill be giving them a call and find out what rims are on these M"s.

I think these would look nice on your car. A quality looking set with 5 thick spokes that are staggered to boot to give you that "look".

Not a bad price and free shiping to boot!

http://www.elementwheels.com/p...0%2Dh

Or these for non staggered...http://www.elementwheels.com/p...0%2Dh

Or these...http://www.elementwheels.com/p...0%2Dm

And my favorites. They are well priced but look hella expensive. They have a nice +42mm offset as well. I think you should get these.

The only bad thing is a "lip" will make the wheel look a little smaller. That is one thing I like about your choices is that the spokes go out to the outer edge.

Best of luck. Hope this helps.

I think you might like these as well. 5 spokes to the outer edge for a BIGGER look. Plus, It can be staggered with a 8 inch wheel in front and a 9 inch in the rear. Nice offsets accompany this setup. Farther out than factory but not enough to upset anything.

Check it out!http://www.elementwheels.com/p...r5189

now THAT's a rim!!!! good job 07!

InfinitiMe i think you should seriously consider getting deep dish wheels and stay away from the wanna be rims you were thinking about getting. i think deep dish rims give the car more character of which the M has plenty to give!

LOL

IMO, your first choice being a "VIP" wheel in 18" is a contradiction in itself. "VIP" miniaturized is VISP "very important small person".

The second wheel is nice but he did not want chrome and it is sold.

You're welcome. Call them and ask for Chris(just don't mention me or they will charge you more). You will get at least another $100 off with your free shipping and no sales tax (about $900 for the set).

i like the first set of rims you displayed but i think they look good on that Lexus. i think our cars look better with a two-tone type of color though. is your car VIP as well? i forgot what your car looked like, put up a pic and refresh my memory please : )

Are you kidding??? First off they are kinda expensive for a used set of 18's with no guarantee of being strait and true as well as cosmetically free of defects. They are gorgeous I'll give you that.

But...offsets are +24 and +31mm. They would stick out a good half inch beyond the body of the car.

the word os neg from the post - loballin him and getting them for 1200 bucks will be ideal besides their are a lot of rules on vsc his reputation will be done if he sells you any thing that is s***ty and you can get you cash back from pay pal if he f you ...

i am aware of the work that has to be done but it will worth it in the end ..

I'm now down to these two:

Any thoughts? I believe as 07sportm35 pointed out the first set, with the spokes going to the very edge of the rim, will give a bigger look but the 2nd set are close to the edge so I think the proportions will still look good. Just wish I had a damn way of seeing this on my car. Might have to do the ol' snap 'n photoshop routine.
