ok, here's my plan, tell me if this will work. I'm going to get a marine battery box from walmart. Should I get 2 gauge or 4 gauge wire? Also, can I make a new negative line that is grounded to the chassis in the trunk, or do I have to connect to the ground on the intake mani and run the line all the way back?

the negative can be grounded in the trunk as long as the front one is too, and use the 2 gauge. make sure to have somewhere for the gases to go off the battery...my trunk lid had a spoiler now just holes so im safe

Yeah, just run a ground wire from the Manifold, to the Chassis in the front. I ran 3 grounds from the engine to the chassis just to be safe. And 2 gauge isn't a bad idea, but 4 will get the job done. Just make sure you use at least 2 gauge in the trunk for the ground. And I would recommend grounding it to the bolt in the back where it connects the floor to the frame thing back there. That bolt should stick out and be noticeable.

At this rate, I'm gonna be poor... but that's my $.02 anyways. lol

Don't forget a fuse within 2' of the battery and a good steel bracket bolted through the trunk pan.
