I can't seem to pin down a value for this car. My girlfriend's brother needs to unload his 1987 Z31. I'm just looking to nail down a ballpark figure to ask for it. Its a 2+2 non Turbo w/manual transmission. It has minor rusting and overall I would say it is in fair condition. Any insight I would appreciate!

Do you have anymore info like miles and service history and all that? From what you've given me, I'd personally toss 2 stacks at it, but that's with very little information.

Non-turbo 2+2, I'd ball park at $1800-2500 depending on mechanical condition, (amount of) rust & color/condition of (?leather?) interior.

Could be less, doubtfully more.

Google 1987 300zx site:craigslist.org to get an idea of what people are listing them for on CL.

When I hear "minor rusting" and the car is in CT, I get a little suspicious.

Lets see some detailed pics?

I'll get some pics. Its under snow right now from our freak Halloween Nor'easter.

Mileage is probably over 100k.

Thanks for the input guys!

Super super nice, 3-6 grand (depending on your level of patience and willingness to find a Z31 enthusiast out there)
Average, 2-3 grand
Any worse, between free and 1500 bucks.

Rust is a major concern on any Japanese car before the 90s, so I'd say $2000 if he seriously wants to unload it, with the willingness to take offers of $1700.
