HELP ME PLZ!!!!

Hey guys I need help with my first ever car build. I did alot of things and have finally gotten to starting my car. Theres a couple problems. For one the car can't idle for s*** and when I do turn on the car the speedo jumps around like crazy even before i start the car. does anyone know how to help me out?

i forgot to also say that this was a ka-e. The speedo is going all crazy. and the sputtering is insane. the car won't even idle. so if anyone thinks they have a solution (other than buying another car, which is in fact great advice) that would be great help! Thanks!

can anyone tell me whats going on? If I have to win some sympathy ill let you guys know that I'm a 17 year old kid who bought a shell from PROTO and did a complete build of my first car. Can't figure out what's going on with the sputtering motor and all and was lookin for some help. plz someone point me in the right direction.

what do you mean "jumping all over the place?" be more specific as to what rpms your hitting at idle, like 6k? check TPS and clean your iacv, those would be a good place to start. also clean you maf and check for vacuum leaks

this is all happeneing when the car is not even running. the speedo will jump from 0 to 100 to 15 to everywhere. The idling is a seperate problem. When I start the car the idle is very rough. The motor sometimes may idle for a bit then start to die out or sometimes may not idle at all. can't figure out the problem.

if your speedo jumps around, you've got that wire tapped to something else. what type of things did you do to it in the first place?

if it's electrical and with alot of stuff done without any prior verification of stuff working, it's tough to trouble shoot. Details in the fullest extent.

you can start with what modifications you've done to it, what have you touched in terms of the wiring in particular. I'm assuming it's a 91 KA24DE, yes?

nope, 89 ka-e. I soldered wires to the transmission sensor(speed sensor, the cylinder like sensor) and maybe that could be the case. not totally sure though. thats about it with wiring i think.
