So heres the whole story, Just bought my car, 1994 300zx NA

Fell in love right off the bat, especially considering its my first car.

Three days into driving it, I felt that at 3000 to 4000 rpms the car would start shaking violently, and wouldnt go any higher than those rpms. This happened in every gear. Took it to a mechanic, Charged me a s*** of money to change out the ignition control module as well as the MAF,

Car drove fine the day after but 30 minutes into driving it, same problems started happening.

When i went to turn on the car again, It wouldnt keep idle and or wouldnt start.

TODAY i went to start it and had to jump it, Got it running and the moment i hit the accelerator, car began vibrating and turned off.

As of now the car wont even try starting.
I have no idea what it could be and the mechanic has no clue cause hes a b****.

Please i need help, ive saved up for 3 years to get this car and now that i finally get it i cant drive it.

Any help is appreciated

Check the ecu for codes, a simple search on this site will put you in the right direction for this procedure. Basically you put the key in the on position (not start), remove the passenger carpet (peel back) and locate the ecu set screw. Turn it all the way for 2 seconds then turn it back. Watch the blinks on the little red led. Count em, there will be a pause and a different speed of blinks to indicate the second digits.

What did the mechanic replace the ignition module (called ptu) with? The version 1 or version 2? There was a recall on the earlier version 1.

i had the same problem and it was my rack and pinion bushings. Check out the bushings and see if they are still good.
