Help me please with ABS

I know there is a way to ground a lead and get the ABS light to flash codes to what is wrong and also to ground it three times fast and clear the codes the problem is where is that lead. :x The FMS says the L circuit of the check connector but the drawing is vage please help me. The only lead I find close to that picture location has eight wires or so with one off to the side alone I tried that one but nothing happened and I am afraid to try the others please reply anyone who has a lead to help me (no pun intened)

Is the single wire you tested blue/white? If so it's the correct one.

On page BR37 of the 97 FSM it shows wire 30 from the ABS control unit as the "L/Diagnostic Wake Up" circuit. I'm still not sure what the "L" stands for but it is confusing.

Any J owners know where the "check connector" is for doing the ABS self-check or done the self-check themselves? The FSM shows it dangling above the brake pedal.

Bump for a frustrated owner. Houster has been trying for a couple of weeks to find the single wire check plug hanging from below the steering column. Has anyone done the ABS self check and can describe where this connector is located?

Thank you qoody90q45 for trying to expidite my assisantance. I am still looking.
I have read further in the fsm and found the color of the wire to be L/W I guessing that is laverder and white but still I do not see those colors and the plug to the ABS brain is different then shown in the fsm and so I can not figure out the #30 termial that is the wire I seek so I am still in need. I reposed in the J30 forum as reqested so I will check it and see.

Update on the car though after a new ,hood, bumper, headlight, marker light, rt fender, dashboard, carpet, drivers power window motor, water pump, raditor, fan, alternator, all new hose from power streeing to cooling , and a good cleaning and lube of all moving parts including the sunroof with a good paint job it will look like showroom. All work I have done myself with help from the salvage yard (keeping it green and recycling) the only set back I have is this ABS light I have a code reader for check engine but not for ABS the interior is bliss but this yellow idiot light staring me in face every day I can almost taste the soultion but can not find this blasted wire and not from lack of effort.
