i just bought a 91' 240sx on Monday and got the engine shampooed yesterday. driving back from work today i found the car shaking uncontrollably and idling at like 600 or so. Has anyone experienced any problems after they've washed their engines.

You probably have gotten some water inside the distributor cap.

take the cap off and dry it out.

Also some water may have gotten down inside the spark plug holes, use compressed air to blow out the water there too
