I just rebuilt that rear end of my 89 240sx, today I installed the gastank and put the pump in it and put some gass in it. but nothing. the sending unit was prety rusty when I took it out do you think I could messed up something while cleaing it off? it has also been off the car for 2 weeks now.

Is your fuel pump priming when you turn the key? If you go back to where the fuel tank lid is you should be able to hear the pump turn on when you turn the key.
