2 problems have arisen on my 2002 Q45.

The first thing is that when I take a right hand turn it sounds like a granny car where the shocks are going bad or something. Almost like a squeeky matress. Visually everything looks fine. Maybe needs to be lubricated?????

The other question is what is the cheapest way to go about replacing the front windshield. Mine cracked the other morning when defrosting it. It had a little chip about the size of an ink pen, and now it has a crack all the way across.

Thanks, AE

First question, we need to know maint. history on the front end.

Cheap windshield? Should have bought a Kia!Play it safe, crack open the wallet-go OE.

It started last week when I pulled off from a stop sign making a right turn and accelerating really hard.

In a nutshell, its my fault, not so much what has or hasn't been done in the past. I guess I'm gonna have to bring it to a mechanic and have it looked at.

Thanks anyway, AE

What Superuber meant is please reoucnt the conditon of the front suspension by recounting the history of your maintenance of it.

There are threads on rehabilitating the fornt suspension and windshield replacement. I recommend you read them.

For the windshield. I just recently had the windshield replaced on my Acura. Cost me 230 bucks for the windshield, installed, plus some 9% sales tax. This is a small shop, not a chain, in Houma La. I had to replace all the trim around and that was over 400 bucks only from Acura. The new glass is nice and NO distortions or imperfections.

The Acura windshield is larger then my Q45 so it should not be any more.

The chain store, Express Glass, locally was around 100 bucks more so...

My guy used PPG which is probably what the chains use but I don't know that for sure.

I can't say about your granny sounds while turning right but sounds BAD, real bad. Maybe you should turn left, to go right, like go around the block doing left turns only. Kno wat ah mean?

There is no chassis lube needed on these cars that I know of but I have a 2000 so... Generally speaking though for most cars today, and for a long time past chassis lubing is not required. Drop the grease in "Lube and Grease Job" of old.

Someone will chime in here wanting more descriptions about. your granny sounds. Me, I dunno me.

Take care. Jack

Not being a mechanic its hard to say really. It only makes this noise when making a right turn. The thing that scares me is the fact that this car produces 333lb/ft of torque which could easily bend something accelerating into a right turn from a standstill. There is no popping sound, just sounds like something needs to be greased or tightened. I'm a nurse, not a mechanic. If this were the human body I could do a better job explaining things.

I will read up on windshield replacement, but as for the other problem I don't even know where to begin searching for info. I'm a moderator on a bodybuilding forum as I am an NPC National Level Bodybuilder, so I should have expected the "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON RESPONSES" lol. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to my page on my sponsors website, and if I can ever be of any assistance to those needing help with health and fitness please let me know!!
