Hi i am new here and im desperate..

this morning i started my 2000 pathy.. started to drive home, but i felt this momentary loss of PWR it seemed... but then it came back and i was able to continue on home.

well i get home, go in shower, blah, blah and then go to the path and open the back to grab my golf clubs, and i hear this ticking... it sounded like it was coming from the dash area or near the steering wheel.. well the thing wont start, we checked fuses, jump start, i replaced the battery, nothing.. not even a light will come on... im thinking i immobilized it somehow with the alarm system.. the security light does not blink or anything, its just off... i thought for sure i had a bad battery, but after i hooked it up and still no lights or anything, im starting to think its immobilized.. does anyone know the procedure on that or how i could have tripped it... do i have to tow it into nissan ???? any help please.... thanks

thats strange. Did you try locking and unlocking the car a few times with the remote or key???? That usually should turn the immobilizer off..

i get no repsonse with the remote to the car security system.. however this morning, when I went to try and start the pathy, i did see the security red light flash on once or twice... wouldnt that indicate I have PWR...????

i dont get what was ticking in the car yesterday morning.. no key in, just popped the trunk open... and i hear that ticking... near the steering area. and plus the last time the car started, the momentary loss of pwr.. theres gotta be some kinda electrical issue somewhere..

my brother also heard the ticking and is more of a mechanic than me and hes pointing his finger at the alarm.. also in the remote, tried took the battery out, not sure i put it back in properly.. but i have the + sign facing down in there... man i so dont need to be spending so much money on repairs so close to xmas...

when the system goes inot "theft" mode, it basically turns off the starter relay...

Do your accessories work?? meaning when you turn the key on, everything should lite up as normal.....? radio, climate control, etc should all work.

nope nothing at all.. the only indication of pwr was seeing that sec. light flash this a.m. im at work now with my brothers 240 hehe, but he is going to try and jump it again, with that new battery in there.. i mean, a brand new battery from walmart should be charged right off the bat shouldnt it..?? im crossing my fingers.

bah, my brother has it hooked up this his girls car to try and charge the battery.. he sees the sec. light flashing and said the dome light was trying to light up a lil bit.. also the red / positive terminal that goes onto the battery was fully corroded and white, which i cleaned off already, i wonder if that is damaged.?
