Well I have a 93 hatch with a 89 single. It has the bottom end rebuilt with about 8000 miles I didnt rebuild it. But the idle is fine about 800 900 rpms, I know is kinda high but it runs and all of that fine but it has almost no power at all. I do not know what it is I hav searched here, google, zilvia and could not find a def. answer. It has no leaks on the head or valve cover. And it has a new fuel filter, pcv valve, spark plugs, and a little exhaust leak. But the timing is at 15 degrees advanced and the distributer is all the way advanced. Would I need to make the head and block at perfect tdc? I do not know what is wrong and it is killing me!!!! :frown:

My buddy said I may need a new fuel pump, I was going to get a Walboro 225. I did take out the fuel pump and it looked clean as hell no gunk nothing!

So somebody please help!

Its because its a 240.

lol just kidding. Try to set the timing and distributor back to factory specs and see what happens.

Krash beat me to it.

I'd say fuel pump. I had the same-ish problem. The fuel pump finally went out and I put in a new one, and boy, did it pull.

But before all that, my car was really slow for some reason, I don't know why, I was always left behind. After I wrecked it and moved the motor to another shell, it ran flawless.
