Help me out please my automatic gear doesn't lock in D!?

Can anyone help me out there I've got a 300zx 3.0 non turbo automatic. The gear does' t lock in D only in R. The N feels like the middle but not locked between R or D, what it supposed to be I tink. Maybe the problem inside the car anyone mayb picture

Also the brake lock system with the drive shaft works perfectly when pressing the brake panel I can move from P to down so the lock for P does work.

Now what are you talking about locking in D? When in Neutral, you should be able to pull the lever down to Drive without pressing the button, but not bump up to Reverse. When In Drive, you should be able to bump the shifter back to neutral without pressing the button, but shouldn't be able to pull down into 2nd.

Maybe I'm just not understanding your question.

It goes in D but it doesn't stay there. The stick moves 2 the N without touching..

Oh, that is an issue, and I think the issue will be internal. The selector goes into the side of the transmission housing and rotates a rod to select the "mode" the transmission will be in. If your car is popping out of D while driving, you've got some bad internal issues.
