OK...

'93 240 w/KAD

changed oil last saturday (23rd)

drove to sarasota last week 2x (about 115 miles round trip)

noticed loss of accelerationover last couple of days.....

...checked oil today... none.

added back old oil, still no compression? call will not accelerate.

is my engine screwed? no rough idle, no hesitation while revving, no engine or oil lights.

So your saying you ran you car dry on oil and added the old stuff back in, and you dont have compression? You might have blown your rings.

ok... someone on another forum told me that most likely I wasn't completely out of oil, just really low (like minus 1 qt.) and that it most likely is my clutch.... I hope so.... which clutch should i replace it with, if that is the case? Upgrade time!!!!!!!!

Before you go spending a lot of cash you need to correctly diagnose the cars problem and I think you maybe need help from a mechanic or someone more experienced than you. Not trying to sound rude but dont waste money for nothing. No one can normally diagnose a problem such as yours over the internet. Yours isn't a "oh my tire keeps getting low-go get it patched or pluggd or get a new one" kind of problem. Dont spend 300 bucks on a clutch that you will proly have to pay someone another 300 bucks to install. Take it to pepboys or somewhere you can get a free diagnostic done or even a friend.

Also, if you lost that much oil that quick you have much bigger problems than just your clutch. Make sure your oil filter and drain plug are tight. If they are, fill the oil back up and put a big piece of cardboard under your engine. If you see any oil on the cardboard, look straight up above it to see where it's coming from. As far as your clutch, is it slipping? In other words, does your rpm rise without accelerating the car? When you get some more info post again and someone can at least try to help. Hope your engine isn't toast.
