Okay so I swapped my CA into a coupe and most of the wiring was re-done, well it seems to run pretty good, but it idles at like 500rpm and shakes and acts as if it wants to die, and is really hesitant when you push down the throttle until it hits boost then its fine, the timing is correct, but the thing that gets me is, it idles perfect and seems to rev alright without the MAF plugged in (even though I dont wanna rev it without the MAF), I know the wiring to the MAF is perfect, shielded wire, soldered, heat shrunk, wrapped...but what could it be? I thought maybe a fuel pressure issue, but now its looking more and more like its my maf, once I hit boost the car rips, its just getting there is where I find my problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

idle is too low, fix that first and see if it improves.

You might also want to try adding a few good size grounding straps to the engine. I have seen a lot of strange problems fixed this way. Check the MAF too, as it may have become oily causing it to read incorrectly.

Could have been a fouled plug causing a mis at idle, assuming you didn't replace them.

I replaced them...But due to me beating the piss out of it, it seems as if I glazed my brand new spec stage 3+, oh how glorious.

the stock grounding straps arent worth Sh*t, i added a couple to mine in various places when my car would almost die at idle and it fixed her right up, i also ajusted the throttle cable to idle higher... that would prolly be your best bet to check logan, before getting all serious with it.. who knows it might be something simple..

Did you correctly wire your knock sensor in? And do you have a stock or remapped ECU?

Are you talking about the ignition timing? How can you set/check that with the can idling at 500rpm? If you set your timing with the engine running like that it will be off. You need to it idle at about 800rpm. see the service manual.

Someone tell me if I'm wrong.
