HELP ME OPRAH! HELP ME TOM CRUISE!95 PATHFINDER transmission/ALTERNATOR MISHAP.

Happy Holidays, folks. I really need some help, and was hoping some of you experts might be able to assist, so:

I have a 95 Pathfinder XEV6 automatic . I let a wrench touch my alternator (dumb) while trying to tighten it. The next day, the car died and wouldn't restart. I finally got it to turn over, swapped out the alternator (thinking it might be fried), but now after it's been on for awhile, if I turn it off and turn back on the whole car loses power (like i disconnected the battery).

A few days later, it would jerk over and over when the RPM's got around 2500, even when parked. And the BEST part is, now my transmission (just rebuilt 2 months ago) won't go past 1st gear, no matter how hard I rev it. I am tempted to push this thing over a cliff. Please help! And thanks in advance.
