I tried to get out of the non running rb club but failed. Balanced perfomance of atlanta wanted to charge $15000 to bolt up my already built engine with already purchased parts and fluids. Battlegrounds did it for the low low price of $7000 ( ) everything was already bought and wiring harness already done. just a bolt and tune job for $7000! Now my money has got me a holset turbo that went out twice on the dyno and the turbo guys @ gpopshop said that the trubo failure was 100% due to lack of oil. I put a gauge on the oil line to check the pump and here it the video.http://www.youtube.com/user/ak..._gZowh ... oEWxqPSG6E please help. 2 1/2 years of waiting $7000 in debt no turbo and a non running car.

Jesus man, that is unreal.

Do some searching on your holset for oiling requirements. Some dudes actually need restrictors on the oil line to the turbo.

What exactly happens do they sieze? Or blow the seals out?

Not sure if thats normal oil PSI or not.

Where is the gauge getting its signal from?

I would normally lean towards the gauge being faulty, but if you've already gone through two turbos because of oiling issues, it seems like there are bigger problems.

The needle should match the revving because the pressure increases with rpm. If the engine was cold in the video, it should be around 90 psi with how much you were revving it. That looked low to me. If you can get it to idle around 1000 rpms, and have it warm, the oil pressure should be around 20 psi.

When you had the engine built, did you have a crank collar installed on the end of the crank.

that source was his oil feed line for the turbo.

I certainly wouldn't suspect this as a crank collar situation. Perhaps a busted oil pump though.

Perhaps you are right. Either the oil pump is broken or the pickup is severely blocked by debris.

I can't see losing 40psi even through a small oil feed line. It would have to be pumping an extremely high rate. Is the oil filter element still in tact?

What concerns me there is the initial pressure build and then it falls while you are revving the engine.

Whatever it is, I would investigate further before you start that motor again in case it is a blocked pickup as Darius suggested.

I am leaning toward nismoparts.com n1 pump. my friend is going to help me do the pump. I shouldn't have to do this for $7000 bill. also after the pump what if it is still losing oil and won't idle? If anyone would like another video of anything, just ask. and thanks to everyone for the quick reply.
