what do you think a fair charge for labor hours is for replacing the 2 front motor mounts on a 93q? would there be a small difference (experience must come in to play, right?) if it was done at a dealer or a local shop (so far, can't find one willing to take on the job)? i would really like to get this sorted out this week, but so far have heard everything from 5 to 12... thanks in advance.

Infiniti dealer in Tulsa quoted 3.3 hr per side, appx. $600 (labor only). I did them myself in about 5 hours, using info from this forum.

Interesting...was it really 3.3 hrs per side, no matter if you did 1 or both? Seems there's a good amount of labor overlap.

pass side is walk in a park, driver side is a bit more head scratching business! 3-4 hrs sounds pretty good for both with proper tools and equipment!

thanks guys. i called around and got quotes all over the ball park. the service manager at the local infiniti dealer (kelly infiniti for those of you in ma) was a one time q owner and still an enthusiast, and he said sure, we can do both motor mounts in 3 hours and the transmission mount for an additional hour, so farfetched, you're spot on. so i'm scheduled for next wednesday and couldn't be happier--$360 total labor at the dealer. wahoo! thanks again.
