help me my gas tank has a crack

one morning i went to my car to get a cd and smelled gasoline the bottom of my car i took a peak down and found that my gas tank has a crack in it. It was pouring down pretty fast does anyone know a good site where i can replace it for cheap or how can i fix this. im new >_< i have a 95 240sx se

Your cheapest bet would be to search the for sale listings to find a local part out. Or you could check the junkyard. Gas tanks are easy and quick to pull.

I have had that kind of problem on my car.....what I did was i sold the car....

actually, it is a pretty big job since you have to remove the whole suspension and subframe out....Then, remove the while gas tank and replace with a new one.....the shop that I went with recomended that using the used gas tank might not be worth thier time...and they won't give you a warrantee on the leak or anything after worth.....however, the brand new gas tank will cost you a hella amount of money like 500-600 alone.....

so if you cannot do the job yourselves or don't have any connection with the shop.....it is gonna be a lot of money.....

Crap, I kind of forgot that I did it when the subframe was already off my car :S
