not really.... call jhot or jarco if you want, but they are in georgia and shipping will be about half a g. think of the clip as being $2100, with $500 shipping. dude that clip is flawless.

Then just buy an engine set from an importer and buy a silvia front. Clips are not easy to find with a CA in it.

Just buy you an engine set and save yourself the trouble of trying to get rid of a heavy carcass.

Hmmmm, didn't your first post mention that you wanted a front clip??Anyway, I just moved from out there.......El Dorado Hills, to be exact......and I tried venus for about 2 years. Everytime I went there, they said it would be 3-4 months. I finally gave up on them.....mainly because I kept hearing bad things about their engines. I think there was a place in Shingle Springs, and another in Placerville. Don't remember the names though.Other than that probably San Jose, Fremont, or somewhere else in the bay area might be you next best place. I got my Clip fro Jarco and am 100% happy with them and the clip......shipping probably would be a killer though from Georgia

i dont like buying engine sets, cause they are never complete, my buddie bought a sr motor set and we spent the next month trying to find parts to make it run. ex. maf, ecu, wireharness, ign chip, misc. hoses etc etc. id rather spend a extra $300 and have everything there.

Have you ever bought an engine set before? How do you know all engine sets are never complete? I've helped numerous members on this forum get engines through my contacts and they never complained about missing all the crap you mentioned, especially if those parts are apart of the deal.

Maybe your friend just bought and engine for cheap and tried to piece together the rest of it (Cardinal sin). If someone is selling you a complete engine set, it is your job to find out what's included before you dump your cheddar. If you don't ask, don't complain. Spend your money how you want, but being in this business for 11 years, I am confident enough to tell that you are brand new to this and you are about to spend foolish money on a front clip when all you want is an engine set. Find a company with a good/complete engine set and ask questions; which will in turn save you money and a headache.

so basically your saying its never better to buy a front clip if it doesnt come with sheet metal? thats wrong in my mind, i think getting a sidemount intercooler and radiator and having piece of mind knowing eveything is gonna be there is worth the extra 300-400. but when it comes down to it its my money so im gonna get what i think is best.

and im gonna have to go ahead and fail the thread i started, the only help i got outta it was there might be a shop in placerrville or shingle springs.

sorry mang, i dont know many places in california. if you want a clip jarco or jhot is the way to go. very good people.

i got my clip from venus on special. it cost me $1000 and it was flawless with 32k km on the clock. got here really fast and did me proud for several years before i pwnd it and had to rebuild. i should mention this was in late '02, and ive heard bad things about venus since then.
