To the op tell those people their full of $hit.
You do what u want to do, my 2cents if you listen to other people you'll never do what you want to do. And it will pass you by, then later down the road you probably regret no doing it.
Its all nuts and bolts, but besides that it takes some knowledge which you'll find here on this forum. But the most important is will to do the work. If your planing to buy the car and then let some company install it for you. Then you might as well get a Cavalier or like Versa and leave it stock.
There is no such thing as right and wrong way of doing swap. And besides you'll be hecking-up a car any way to put in the SR. Yes there might be some issues like trouble codes or CEL lights. But you'll have to deal with it, and I'm sure your looking for a 1995 S14 since you want to toss a SR into it. Cause 96+ wont fly with OBD2 car, but I dont know how some people get by with swaped NON OBD2 motors into 96+ cars.
But first get the car, and automatic stock S14(240sx) holds its own, it gets sideways really easily and is fun to drive in stock form. Mainly you should be looking for the body.
Think of it this way, if you'll have good body(base) to start working from your options are endless.
But that's just what I think personally.
