this is the one I got... 100$ shipped even though it's used, ouch that's expensive.

the left side (passender) curves more than the right side (driver)

it should be one of these....http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_strut.html

is this the Type40D ?

I think it is the Type40-D. The bend on the passenger side is used to help clear the CA18DET intake manifold. (correct me if I'm wrong...) At least that's what I found in the CA forum: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....60068 Except the one they talk about is an OS-type bar.

is the type 40 D better or the type OS? because awhile back, when asking people's opinion, they all suggested to get the OS...

anyways, will the type 40 D clear s14 sr20det?

Like they said, it shoul fit without any problems. The reason the CA needs an altered strut bar is because the intake plenum is a different shape and higher than the SR or KA's...
