It's taken over part of the neglected garden behind my house. It was grown intentionally. The base is well placed and has a bit of a trellis. It's a long vine like plant that seems to do nothing but be a long vine like plant. Does it do anything? I did my usual googling and came up with little.

Name that plant.

Looks stupid and is wasting your carbon dioxide.
The only logical thing to do here is kill it.

They're dead. I feel no remorse. Survival of the fittest. Now I have room for tomatoes.

I have no use for flowers. The flowers I think are pretty are the ones that turn into my pumpkins, and my cucumbers, and my strawberries, and my tomatoes. Those are beautiful. The vines are useless. They take from the producers. No plant welfare in my garden.

f*** yeah.

Future FIL and I cut, killed, and yanked a huge f*** of a choking vine out of his rhododendrons yesterday. I poured bleach all over the carcass as a warning to the other ***hole vines. At one point, we tied a boat line around it and called in MIL for yanking support. It felt like we were toppling the statue of an oppressive dictators regime.

Exactly. People want to praise the wilderness as some peaceful place but they don't realize the forest will literally grow itself to death. They did it to the whole planet in the Coniferous Era. I am the firm had that tends my plants for their own good. It's like raising children.
