It sounds like your clutch is slipping.

is it an auto of manual transmission? If manual.. then the clutch is prob slipping and needs to be replaced.

If he just put a new clutch in it. Then it probably needs adjusted out. Use the adjuster screw on the actual clutch pedal that goes through the firewall to the clutch master cylinder.

I was just thinking it was possible a seal might have worn out and you might have engine oil or gear oil seeping onto the clutch. The 5 speed transmission I swapped in had engine oil caked on the inside of the bell housing, so that couldn't have done anything positive for the clutch of the previous owner. I'm far from being a mechanic but I would think a clutch would start to wear out, not just go from go to no go over night

Hummmm.. your video is very interesting. I just drove my car around again it seems like it sorta fixed itself... iono how but it seems Ok... right now but when i try to launch it or gas it hard it has lag then the power comes in a lump... as for the clutch it seems to catch very high... i mean i just push in the clutch 1 inch or less and it catches... i wanna know if the car will last me 1 more year running like this. i just need it to run untill i can drop an sr20 in it. but i just need the car for school n work...

I had the exact same problem with my car, i bought it knowing it needed brake pads and a new clutch. I changed the brakes and left the clutch alone for a week, drove it anyways. it would go, but as soon as i planked it it would slip and rev right up. after about a week of this, it straight up stopped. I can brake burn (not that i do it often) drift, pound it down a gear... no problems at all now. Kinda odd... yes but dont try and fix somthing that isnt broken :P haha

I bet that this only happens when the car is fully warmed up...right?

If it is, could be air in the system. Bled that sucker!!!

yeah your sorta right when its fully warmed up it does that... when i just start the car its kinda smooth when acclerating but when i get to a certain point it just revs and i go like very very slow like not even funny slow.... i try to floor it hard and nuttin really happens i take it to like 5k or 6k rpm and it just moves as slowly but louder... do you think i would need to change the transmission. when i first got the car it was running fine but now its a pain in the *** to drive cuz ppl honk at you for trying to gas it...
