So I just picked up a 94 Vert. Manual Swapped. The good is the motor and trans are PERFECT. the bad, electrical issues are rampant. It's going to be a bit of work to make sure everything is 100% before I register and drive it.

Anyhow theres a few main issues I really need help with.

1: When I press the top down button, the rear quarter windows go down, when I press the top up button, the rear quarter windows still go down. How are the switches / window regulator wired? Where may be a probably place where the wires are crossed or something?

2: The convertible top does not go down by itself. When I press top down, a relay(s) in the back clicks but nothing happens. Is it a ground on the pump perhaps? Where is this ground located? Are there any other common problems with this?

3: Unrelated to the top but where is the SRS airbag computer? I want to put on an aftermarket steering wheel and don't want the airbag light staying on. I'm assuming I can just unplug the computer and remove it like I have on my 3000GTs.

Check that little switch on the top motor, it might be on manual

No airbags on a 94 S13 240sx.

First one is normal. Rear windows go down with top switch. Put the top up then roll up windows.

LOL. I thought airbags were mandatory by about then? I've had several earlier 90s cars and every one has had airbags so I assumed.




Also the switch on the pump, your talking about the black valve on the top? It's inline with the plumbing so it should be on.

So either switch will put the window down if the top is down and both will put it up if the top is up? This seems like an odd system.

Shouldn't roll up windows with the top up or down switch. Only switch that would roll up the back windows is the window switches in the center console.

Yeah my top up and down buttons rolled the rear quarter windows down. The switches in the center console don't seem to work. (lol)

That's an issue. Make sure the window lock button is off on the driver's door.
