Help me find size specs... strict perameters..

hey guys... one of my best friends is handicapped.. and he pimps a scion truck (xb or whatever it is)...anyways he wants rims... and there are some issues...

His car's entire back end is on airbags (equivalent) and he must lower the back end when he gets out... we cannot go over diameter at all... maybe a quarter inch.. but thats all...

Hes currently on 185/60/15s (84t whatever that means) and would like to go to 17s or 18s...

17s i came up with 185/45/17s (is that a real size)18s i came up with 185/40/18

would a 225/45/17 be the best fit?
